Leaving for Winter Vacation
by Vijay Kiran

I’ll be leaving today for my winter ski/snowboarding/hiking holiday for 10 days. Tomorrow I’ll be in Samedan, in Switzerland. This is the first time I’m going to a ski resort. And most of the time I’ll be in St. Moritz.
As the ‘birthplace’ of winter sports, St. Moritz has achieved world fame and nowadays is the epitome of style, tradition and quality. The Winter Olympics were held here from1928 to 1948, and the resort has also hosted numerous ski and bob World Championships. These days, St. Moritzs is particularly renowned for its luxury hotels and distinctive architecture.
I am also planning to travel on the famous Glacier Express to Zermatt. The Glacier Express is one of the things I’m looking forward to apart from Skiing, Snow-Man-building and chance to take some great photographs, and getting a chance to photograph the Matterhorn.
When I am not in the snow and ejoying swiss chocolate, I’ll be writing some code, and having fun with Cocoa/iPhone/Wicket and Hippo ECM. I’ll be back in The Hague, on 29th just in time for the new year celebrations.
I wish you all Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. Next post on the new year’s eve with photos from Swiss.
